Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of It's My Bag, a mobile application developed and operated by Shadodo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 17456781). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The service

It's My Bag is a personal product-memory and catalogue app available on iOS and Android. It allows you to record products, rate them, organise them into categories, manage lists and tasks, and (with a Premium subscription) access additional features including cloud backup and sharing.

The app is available in two tiers:

• Free tier — core cataloguing, rating, lists, tasks, and local backup, subject to usage limits described in the app.
• Premium tier — all Free features plus cloud backup, two-way sharing, and additional capabilities, available by paid subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use It's My Bag. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have the permission of a parent or guardian.

3. Your account and data

It's My Bag does not currently require you to create an account. Your catalogue data is stored locally on your device and remains under your control. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and any backups you create.

When cloud backup features are introduced (Premium), you will be responsible for the accuracy of the data you store and for keeping any access credentials secure.

4. Premium subscriptions

Premium features are available by auto-renewing subscription, billed through Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) depending on the platform you use. Current pricing is displayed in the app before you subscribe.

• Billing: your subscription is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• Cancellation: you may cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Premium access until then.
• Refunds: all purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests must be directed to them in accordance with their respective policies. Shadodo Ltd does not handle payments directly and cannot issue refunds.
• Price changes: we may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of the subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• Free tier on cancellation: when a Premium subscription ends, your account reverts to the Free tier. All data added during Premium remains visible on your device — nothing is deleted — but content beyond the Free tier limits becomes read-only until you resubscribe.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
• Use the app to store or share content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
• Use automated means to access or interact with the app

6. Intellectual property

The app, its design, branding, and content (excluding data you enter) are owned by Shadodo Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights to use Shadodo's trademarks, logos, or other brand elements without prior written permission.

You retain ownership of all content you enter into the app — your catalogue data, notes, photos, and lists are yours.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

It's My Bag is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Shadodo Ltd makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the app's availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shadodo Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £10, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

9. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we handle it. By using the app, you agree to our privacy practices as described there.

10. Changes to the service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the app at any time. We will give reasonable notice of any significant changes that affect your use of Premium features. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will notify you of material changes through the app or the App Store / Google Play update notes. Continued use of the app after updated terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

12. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app if you violate these terms. On termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Locally stored data remains on your device until you uninstall the app.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
